Future President & Vice President
Senator John Boccieri and Colton Lockner at Governor Ted Strickland's Inaugural Ball held in Columbus, Ohio. The Senator's Office
John Boccieri and myself in his office in Columbus, Ohio following Governor Ted Strickland's swearing in ceremony! It was awesome! Meet Rick Mirenzi
This is Rick Mirenzi. He started the Veteran Connection and is a big supporter of me. He helps with everything! You can hear him on WCER AM 900. This is a picture at the Veteran's convention held in Canton, Ohio. I was named the 2006 Veteran Connection High Flyer of the Year for my efforts in the Freedom Walk. Rick helps and supports all the Gold Star and Blue Star families. My site map has a link to his website! Veteran's Convention
Of course Senator John Boccieri was at the convention! He was a key speaker and as you can tell from all the pictures a big supporter! He never lets me down! He is a great guy and I look forward to continuing to work with him on things. He can really make things happen! Good Year Blimp
As part of a reward for being named the Veteran Connection's High Flyer of the Year, I was given the opportunity to ride in the Good Year Blimp. It was so awesome! Jerry Hessim was the pilot when I took my blimp ride. I was able to ride in the front seat right beside him!
Front Seat Ride
I'm not at the controls, but I did get to ride shot gun! What an awesome view. Thanks to the Veteran Connection and Bill Rollins for arranging that for me. It was great! Meeting Viktor Schreckengost
I had the pleasure of meeting Viktor Schreckengost. I was probably more excited to meet him than anyone since I learned about him in school. He was 100 years old when I got to meet him! Autograph signing
Viktor Schreckengost and I shared a snack on my visit and he signed a brochure for me. It highlights the work and inventions he has done and lists the places they are displayed! Viktor passed at the age of 101 in 2008. He will be sadly missed! Vienna Air Force Base
Senator John Boccieri is an active pilot in the United States Air Force. In this picture, he is showing me how pilots navigate in the C130's. I took my grandpa, Dennis Rasile with me since he is an Air Force veteran. At the Controls
I'm at the controls of a C130. I couldn't take off though! The plane is huge!
This is what I look like with an oxygen mask on. I was able to check it out along with night vision goggles. That was cool too! Thanks Senator Boccieri for inviting me there! It was awesome! Scribing for Soldiers Incorporated in the 2007 Freedom Walk was "Scribing for Soldiers". I was approached by the Volunteer Service Agency of Youngstown and was asked to help them launch a letter writing campaign. This is of me carrying in a box of postcards my friends from the Pentagon supplied. The USO came to St. Ann's Church in Sebring to pick them up to send to troops overseas. Microsoft Award I was given this certificate and this really cool Zune! If you don't have one, you should get one they're awesome! This was for being nominated for Microsoft's Above and Beyond Award. Thanks to all who voted for me! | |
