  Information About
America Supports You

America Supports You is a
Department of Defense Community Relations
initiative that communicates to
U.S. military members what thousands
of individual citizens, community groups,
corporations, businesses and others are
doing to support them and their families,
at home and abroad.

On the Department’s Community Relations
Web site under Support for Our Troops,
nonprofit groups are categorically
listed to easily depict the types of
actions that citizens are taking
to show their support.

Many stories of citizen support also may
be found at www.ourmilitary.mil under
Community Relations News and Headlines.

Although I no longer live in Sebring, it is still my hometown.
I’ve started a great tradition there and would have liked to continue it, but due to lack of support, I will not be having a walk in Sebring any longer! Some people have suggested that the enthusiasm of the walk is gone and that a walk is not needed every year, but I think everyone has the right to honor and remember those who have died and who fight to protect our freedoms.

Whether you have a family member, neighbor or community member serving in our military to protect our freedom or if you had a family member, neighbor or community member innocently lost on September 11, it was a tragic day that affected all of America.

It united the country and every year as we reflect on the tragedy that day, we pull together to remember and honor our freedoms and show the world why we have them, because....
We stand united!
We are powerful!
We are Americans!
WE WILL NOT FORGET!
