Wow, been a long time since I did this. Right now I'm just getting ready for Lake Milton's 2nd Freedom Walk. I'm contacting people, looking for speakers, sponsors, the normal stuff. I did get permission from the VFW to again use their facility to end the walk! There have been many changes at the DoD since the Obama administration took over so I'm getting used to that and finding new contact people there. My mom and I sent a Letter to the Editor of the Alliance Review explaing to the city of Sebring and the surrounding communities, why there will not be a Freedom Walk in Sebring this year. I was receiving calls about it so we thought we needed to explain why I wasn't going to host a wwalk there this year. I did invite everyone to Lake Milton for their 2nd Freedom Walk! Hopefully, the support will follow since we're only 16 miles from Sebring! I have a date set with Harley-Davidson BikeTown for the 4th annual Freedom Walk Poker Run. They are great to have as a sponsor! I'm trying to work out some more things for that and begin planning the cornhole tournament!  I need door prizes and sponsors so if you know anyone who may be interested, please have them contact me!

My mom and I would just like to wish my brother Braxton a verry happy birthday. I hope his party is succssesful. My mom did so much work on this site and I love her for that. She did an awsome job.

I got to meet Kelly Pavlik at Wal-mart last night. That was cool. I explained my Freedom Walk to him and asked him to speak. Hopefully he will be able to. My mom and my friends mom are starting to work on the poker run. We have a meeting on Tuesday to get more things in motion. I'm thinking a corn hole tournament would be a good fundraiser. My whole family plays every weekend so I thought that would be cool. People are starting to send me emails for the Lake Milton walk. I think that is going to be really big.

 

 

 Here I am meeting boxing champ Kelly "The Ghost" Pavlik. I'm explaining my Freedom Walk to him hoping he'll be able to come and speak! Either way, Good luck Kelly in your upcoming fights!

Big News!

My big brother Nick is joining the Marine Reserves! My mom is so proud of him. I am too! It gives me one more reason to appreciate our troops and show support of my big brother.

Today I'm getting ready for the 4th of July parade in North Jackson. This will be the first year of my life I haven't been in Sebring on the 4th, but I'm excited about the parade. I hear it gets bigger every year. My dad is going to drive the truck in the parade and I'm excited about that too.

My mom's a little upset with the city of Sebring today. We need to show them that we want a Freedom Walk and get excited about it. Claims have been made that the enthusiasm is gone. This will be a busy month. I have the Carnation kick-off parade on Sunday, then a business lunch on Tuesday, an interview with News Channel 33 the following week followed by a band boosters meeting at Southeast High School and the Jackson Milton School Board Meeting, the Poker Run and Cornhole Tournament! August is always a busy month! People start realizing the Freedom Walk is right around the corner and things really start picking up! Everything is planned now for the Poker Run and Cornhole Tournament! This is our first year for Cornhole. It's going to be great cause everyone plays!! I'm still working on getting donations for door prizes for the poker run and for the T-shirts, so if anyone wants to help me out, you can call or email me!

This is the final week!! The walk is tomorrow and I'm very excited to see how things will turn out. The Pentagon will be here, the Dutch TV will be here and I've been getting many great e-mails with encouraging words. Thanks to everyone who supports me throughout the year. Sometimes I feel a lot of people are sick of hearing about the Freedom Walk but then I get e-mails that people send telling me to continue to do them and that makes me feel good. It's a way for me to serve my country and show that I'm proud to be an American.
